What are the industry standards for road bike components?
It seems that there is a large community of roadies online (bike forums, road bike review). Just for fun, I wonder what brand to choose the majority of people as for their bike-building, online reviews, etc. (no personal bias) from From what I've seen: Giro Helmet Specialized / Fizik Saddles Cinelli handlebar tape bicycle rim strip Continental Tire GatorSkin Zipp wheelsets Thomson seatpost Other suggestions? Opposing views? I am building a bike for the next summer, so it will be nice to know what to watch out for.
