football helmets What is the green sticker on the back for some football helmets?
Last night I was just the Ravens-Colts game, and my wife noticed the green Labels on some of the players helmets. I do not seem to be a team just like they are on both sides, but not on all the players helmets. We were curious and hope someone can shed some light on this.
The quarterback has the green dot, and is usually the center of linebackers (or whoever is in the defensive play caller for the Team). The dot shows the communication electronics are embedded in that helmet. A player of the offensive, and a player for the defense bears the green dot helmet - of the rule. The point is not a sticker. It is under the clear coat the helmet - that is not removable from this helmet.
