bicycle helmets Bicycle helmet straps. I think that irritate the straps on helmets my skin. Is there anything I can do
I guess the first question, whether the irritation caused by friction seemed to be / is chaffing or caused by a connection to the belt? Keep your skin moisturized will prevent irritation caused friction / rubbing. Make sure that you do not have your straps too tight. The helmet must remain in place, but it is in force, without remaining closely tied under the chin. Also, my straps really stiff and coarse salt on really hot days. Rinse them out to keep it soft and supple. If the irritation caused by certain chemicals in the belt will, I would try washing with soap and water. Then rinse super well, hopefully you can remove what is bothering you. Hope this helps.
